Diana Falciani first showed her artistic abilities while attending college for Apparel Design where she created clothing designs using watercolor, charcoal, pastel and colored pencil.  While she enjoyed working with the various media, she always wanted to try her hand at oil paints. Diana had the opportunity to do so when taking an oil painting class in 2011.  She was smitten with this new medium, finding her niche with animal portraits and later using people as her subjects.  Her inspiration is drawn from her all-time favorite portrait artist, John Singer Sargent.  She is a realist painter as was Sergeant, and enjoys expressing herself through the color and texture that is found in her work.  Diana is also an accomplished clothing and costume designer as well as hat maker and seamstress.
