Start With a simple headshot

You may choose to start with a simple headshot print of a single person or pet which Diana will translate onto canvas. Opting for a simple background keeps the cost and turnaround time to a minimum. Diana prefers to work with photos in which the subjects aren’t smiling to preserve the classic gravitas associated with oil portraiture.

Add In A BackGround Or more than one focal point

Should you want to capture more than one loved one or enhance the portrait by placing it in a specific environment, Diana will be thrilled to fulfill that vision. Please understand that this will take more time and therefore cost a little bit more than a straightforward headshot.

Start with a photo Shoot

As long as it is easy to do so, Diana is more than happy to orchestrate a fun family outing to take pictures which will be natural and compelling in your oil portrait. This process allows Diana to bring an extra layer of artistry to the painting by shaping her subjects within their environment and telling a story that she was personally involved in from the start.

Bring Family Photos To Life

Diana can make old ancestral photos come alive by taking them from sepia tone or black and white to full color with your guidance as to the color of the subject’s hair, eyes, and skin.
